During the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open, Ana was interviewed by leading Spanish beauty and fashion magazine website telva.com. The 22-year-old was recently voted the best-looking player on the magazine’s website.

Do you like the fashion world?
I do. It’s great to have the opportunity to play in cities like Madrid, Rome and Paris where fashion is so high-profile.
Do you have any insurance for any part of your body?
No, I don’t.
Which is the part of your body that you take the most care of? Legs, arms...?
Actually, probably my hair.
What is your best secret of beauty, for example a special moisturizer?
I am very bad at that, actually I am quite lazy! I am always forgetting to wear sun block.
In your bag you are always carrying…
Lip gloss. My lips get so dry so I like to use this.
If you weren't a tennis player, what would you be doing with your time?
I would love to study psychology.
Who are your points of reference on the tennis court? We know that when you were young you fell in love with tennis while watching Monica Seles play.
There are a few current players that I really look up to, like Roger and Nadal.
Favourite foods?
Japanese, especially sushi.
A guilty pleasure?
I think I like chocolate way too much!
Do you currently have any off-the-court projects?
I really want to take more pictures of the cities I visit so that I have nice memories. That’s a little project for me at the moment. I’ve just bought a new camera.
